For some time now words have not been enough to describe what Cristiano Ronaldo is doing at Real Madrid. The Portuguese forward is insatiable in every match and appears when his team needs him most. In Elche he did it again, scoring twice to give Ancelotti’s team three more points. In eight days he has scored seven goals, including a hat-trick against Galatarasay in the Champions League and the pairs against Getafe and Elche in la Liga. He has a total of nine goals from the first seven competitive matches, equalling his best start to a season, from 2009/10.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s triumphant week started in Turkey on Tuesday 17 September. The Ali Sami Yen stadium witnessed another master class from the Madrid number seven, who opened his Champions League account for the season with a hat-trick which contributed to the 6-1 mauling. Five days later he scored a pair in the 4-1 win over Getafe at the Santiago Bernabéu. And in the most recent match, the Portuguese forward scored the two goals what gave Madrid victory in their visit to Elche. Interestingly, in all three matches he has scored in the final moments.
