Seventeen of Real Madrid’s first team have been called up for their corresponding international squads for the upcoming matches. Most of them will be playing World Cup 2014 qualifying matches as well as friendlies and the games will take place on September 6 and 10. The only match in which Madrid players may face each other will be the Brazil-Portugal game, where Marcelo, Pepe, Cristiano Ronaldo and Coentrão may coincide. The three Madrid players on the Spanish Under-21 side will be the first to play, on Thursday 5.
Five Madrid players in the Spanish squad
Casillas, Ramos, Arbeloa and Isco will all be part of the Spanish squad to take on Finland and Chile. The first of these games is a qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup and La Roja will be out to maintain their leadership of their group with a win. Nacho was called up in the absence of Iñigo Martinez and joins the squad for the first time in his career.
Khedira will play against Austria and the Faroe Islands
The German team is unbeaten in the World Cup qualifying phase and is top of its group. The first game is at home against Austria and the following week the squad will visit the Faroe Islands.
Benzema joins France for two away games
The Real Madrid player will once again be one of the Les Bleus forwards. The Frenchman joins the squad after scoring in the first two league matches and will travel to Georgia and Belarus.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Coentrão and Pepe will face Northern Ireland and Brazil
The three Portuguese players have been called-up by Paulo Bento for the qualifying match against Northern Ireland. The Portuguese selection will also travel to Boston for a friendly against Brazil.
Bale gets his first call-up as a Madrid player
The new Madrid signing joins the Welsh squad for the first time as a Real Madrid player. The midfielder faces two qualifying games against Macedonia and Serbia.
Modric, in second place with Croatia on the World Cup trail
The Madrid midfielder will once again be a key player in the Croatian selection in the qualifying game against Serbia. Croatia are second in their group, three points behind Belgium. Following the Serbia game, they will travel to the Far East for a friendly against South Korea.
Di María joins the Argentina squad against Paraguay
The Madrid player faces yet another World Cup qualifying match, this time against Paraguay, who they beat 3-1 in the previous official match between the two sides. So far, Argentina has only lost one match in the qualifying stages.

The Brazil squad faces two new friendlies for the 2014 event in which they will play hosts. The Madrid left-back will face Australia followed by a Portugal squad that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe y Coentrão
Spain’s Under-21 squad begins its European Cup qualifying matches
Jesé, Morata and Carvajal are the Real Madrid players who have been called up by coach Lopetegui for the first two qualifying matches for the Under-21 European Cup. The squad will first visit Austria, followed by a match against Albania in Logroño.
